FAQ
The following are frequently asked questions. If what you have a question not covered here please use our forums or the "Send Page Feedback" link at the bottom of the page.
Q: Your home page says something about open source but I don't see any?
A: All things take time. We are working towards a goal, but we aren't there yet. We plan to approach this very carefully and responsibly.
Q: Uhm, you are/will be open source and are built on a Microsoft platform?
A: Yes... well.. ASP.NET proved to be a faster prototyping platform in our case. We may eventually port our code to a different platform. Mono and Erlang are two very viable platforms that we are investigating.
Q: What's next..?
A: Whatever our hearts desire! It takes years, lots of hard work, and many smart people to design good software. Be patient young padawan. :)
Q: Tell me something cool?
A: Using Weavver to connect and interact with others will eventually be what we like to call a M2M (mind-to-mind) network. This M2M network can be compared to a neural network for the internet.
Q: What do you specialize in?
A: If you were to relate how people were entertained by television sets with no way to communicate back to the broadcaster to how the
internet allows a two way interaction, you can see that the more dynamic an application, the more interaction required, the smarter and
more productive the user becomes. We believe that finding ways to bring more human intelligence to the internet will really make a difference.
We can achieve this in many ways.. Such as lowering barriers to entry and using open source to help our products evolve with our users.
Q: Okay.. so what *do* you do?
A: Good question.. We have a good idea.. but are still working on it. We basically want to help people communicate by building better communication technology. We also want to make it easier for the average user to use technology normally limited to geeks.
As well.. In building our company, we are sure to find that we require certain tools, and we wish to bring those tools to our users so that other companies can use them as well.
Q: You are still being vague!
A: Yes.. vague.. but really.. why do we
need to define ourselves? ;)
